Mindfulness; It’s not what you think!

In our fast paced world we often find ourselves in a battle with our own minds. We forget to take our grandmother’s advice of “stop and smell the roses” and can sometimes just see the thorns in our way. Mindfulness is the mental activity of stopping the mental freight train bearing down on us, becoming aware of our present moment with the end result of quieting our minds. It is the art of living in the NOW and focusing on the sensory life experience .”So what?!”, you might ask. Well, it has been shown that mindfulness ( the art of awareness) reduces stress, anxiety, physical discomfort and just general chaos thinking. The Ten Secrets of Happiness Plant something and nurture it Count your blessings: at least five, at the end of each day


Take time to talk. Have an hour-long conversation with a loved one each week
